Some notes about this tick-box and the origin of the strip game rulesets.
These rulesets were developed by students of IE619 Combinatorial Game Theory, Spring 2026. I have only added a few variations that are inspired by the students’ work. Lecture notes for the class can be found at https://www.ieor.iitb.ac.in/sites/default/files/LectureNotesToBook22Aug2026.pdf. Some rulesets used that strip ends get concatenated after a move and other rulesets let them remain separated. In the second case, the resulting values can be added abstractly to analyse “who wins?” and more. Here we apply either setting to every ruleset. Make your choice before the first move; it stays fixed during play and unlocks when the game ends. Most of the original rulesets had only blue and red stones; the green stones only appeared as a kind of contamination in the ruleset Tricolor Bracket. This inspired us to explore the abstract influence of such contaminations in other rulesets too. These rules and many more will appear in a forthcoming book called Combinatorial Game Theory with Indian Students.
Enjoy!

Rules for this ruleset
B = blue (Left), R = red (Right), G = neutral. Right's moves are generated by swapping B and R, applying Left's rules, then swapping back.
